It is IMPORTANT to carefully read all the registration instructions because once you send your message, there will be no turning back until the year 2100.
Unfortunately, in this life, nothing is eternal, and everything comes to an end. Just take a look around and realize that every day we continue in this world is a gift. Epidemics, attacks, natural disasters, and if that wasn’t enough, we are currently surrounded by nuclear threats or possible asteroid impacts. For all these reasons and the continuous natural cycle of life, probably by the year 2100, we will all be buried with our families. A few years after our death, we will only be remembered by a few relatives and friends. Later, after a few decades, we will be forgotten as if we never existed. Strangers will inhabit our homes, which we worked so hard to achieve. Our vehicles, which we cleaned so lovingly on holidays, will rest in some scrapyard, and with a bit of luck, our memory will only remain in a dusty photo.
What is OPEN IN 2100? From the desire not to be forgotten and to be remembered beyond the year 2100 as someone special who lived on this planet with their own story, I created OPEN IN 2100—the digital time capsule where two million one hundred thousand people can send a relevant message to the future, specifically to the year 2100.
You can be part of the select group of people who will send their message to the future and thus engrave it in the digital time capsule for future generations. Who knows if our descendants or inhabitants of the year 2100 will be able to learn a little more about us, know who we were, transmit a secret, or simply leave a message to that special person who does not yet exist.
What can the message to the future contain?
Each message sent to the future can include a video no longer than 60 seconds, 3 photos, and a text of up to 800 characters.
The registration to send your message to the future can be accompanied by your full name, date of birth, country, website link, social media profile, YouTube channel, portfolio, etc., so they can also be visited in the year 2100.
How will my message be identified once published in 2100?
Each message sent to the future will be assigned a registration number that determines its publication order in 2100. Messages can be filtered in 2100 directly by searching the message’s registration number or the information provided during registration, such as full name, date of birth, and country of origin.
How many messages can be sent to the future?
A total of two million one hundred thousand messages are available. The available count will be updated on the remaining messages counter.
When will it be possible to send messages to the year 2100?
Starting in 2025, I will send the first message myself, and from that moment, the option to send messages will be enabled until the remaining message counter reaches 0.
What happens if the available messages run out?
Once all the messages to 2100 have been sent, it will no longer be possible to send more messages, and the digital time capsule will be complete and closed until its publication in the year 2100.
What happens if a catastrophe occurs before 2100 and the web world collapses?
Once all the messages are collected, they will be stored on a hard drive for safekeeping in a bank vault, ensuring they survive potential future technological or catastrophic threats. A video of the hard drive’s custody will be published on openIn2100.com.
When will the messages be visible?
The message list will be automatically published worldwide on January 1, 2100, and will be accessible through the message list switch on OPENIN2100.com. Once published, the messages will remain visible to everyone until the current technology of the time is no longer compatible.
